Pure Breeds
Pure-bred Jersey dairy animals are maintained at the Centre, which are used for milk production, practical exposure to trainees who undergo farmers training & managemental practices to internees and Embryo Transfer Technology programme for production of highly pedigreed bull calves meant for artificial breeding.Highly pedigreed bulls of Jersey, HF, Murrah & Surti breeds are exclusively maintained for frozen semen production.
Pure-bred animals rared at the Centre are not available for sale. Male calves born are used for semen collection and female calves for milk production. Culled animals are donated to different Non-Government Organisations.
